This is crazy! I can not believe I am actually writing my first blogging income report!
I dreamed of this day to come and I am so excited to tell you how I made money from my mom blog that I started just one year and 9 months ago.
All while being a stay at home mom, breastfeeding full time, being pregnant and now a Mom of three under four!
It’s been so hectic and I have put so many many hours into this blog- that having proof of making real money is the best feeling ever! All of my hard work is actually working and this whole blogging for living thing is real.
I still have HUGE goals I want to hit with my blog that I am no where near close to achieving- yet! And I do not consider myself a blogging know-it-all by any means.
In fact I feel like I still have A LOT to learn but I am so proud of how far I’ve come and am excited to see where I’ll be in a year from now!

So what's the point of sharing how much money my blog makes?
Being a full-time Stay At Home Mom is the best job in the world!
I am so lucky that I have been able to be home and experience these incredibly precious moments of my children’s lives.
My husband’s job is able to cover our bills (which is truly a blessing and I am so grateful for that) but my husband working long hours, our kids only seeing their father for maybe 1-2 hours a day (sometimes not at all) and living pay check to pay check is not what I want for my family forever.
After having our second baby in 2019, I knew there had to be a way that I could finically contribute and we could spend more time together as a family.
At the time, being a young Mom of two babies under two years old and living on one income, getting a job didn’t seem like an option- all of my own paychecks would pay for child care with almost nothing left to bring home. Seemed pointless.
I just knew there had to be better way.
So what did I do?
I began searching the internet desperately trying to find a solution. I spent every minute of every day searching things like:
-How to make money from home
-How can a stay at home mom make extra money
-Work from home jobs for moms
The list went on and on, I tried spending all day taking surveys and watching ad’s just wasting my time trying to make money.
Finally in my search I found out about these bloggers who were making $10,000+ a month! Some were even making six figures…a month!
I was totally skeptical at first, until I started reading these blog income reports which broke down exactly how these bloggers were making money. Which helped me realize how real this actually is!
(I get super motivated when I read about other bloggers success and income reports really get me excited, which is why I am sharing this income report, in hopes of sparking motivation)
And interestingly enough, I had a blog that I had started years ago!
But I rarely posted on it, it never got any views, it was on a free blogging platform (if you read my How To Start A Blog post you’ll know why this is NOT a good way to start a blog) and it was like a weird online diary- YIKES.
I needed a fresh start, the right way!
I was so excited to get started! And so motived that I began searching and learning everything I could on how to create a profitable blog
…and now here I am less than two years later writing my first income report and making almost $500 in 1 month from my blog! (so long are the days of spending all my time on swagbucks trying to make $2)
I AM WRITING THIS BLOG INCOME REPORT BECAUSE I WANT OTHER MOMS TO KNOW THAT IT IS REAL.
YOU are able to make money blogging. If you want it bad enough it will happen, trust me I’ve been on the other side of the screen and read similar words, but it’s so true.
June 2021 Blog Income Report + Traffic
June was a seriously busy month for me, I moved across town and had a baby all within the same week. Insane, I know.
I wanted to note that I did nothing to the blog at all in the month of June because sadly, I just did not have the time. But somehow it was my highest earning month so far!
I love this about the blogging world! Even though I wasn’t able to put any new content out for a month, content I had already worked hard on came through for me! It’s just proof that hard work does pay off.
If there is one thing to remember in the blogging world it’s that everything takes time.
Okay now for the fun stuff - My June Income Breakdown - $487.86
In June 2021 I made $487.86 from my blog. Here’s the breakdown of exactly where that money is coming from:
Advertising: $6.66
- Google Ads – $6.66
Affiliate Marketing: $481.17
- Amazon – $3.35
- rewardStyle – $477.82
TOTAL: $487.86
ADVERTISING
Placing ad’s on your blog is a great way to earn extra money on your blog. For beginner bloggers I’d recommend starting with Google Ad Sense.
Most of the high paying advertiser programs require a higher amount of monthly page views to get accepted(around 50k-100k monthly page views). Google Ads does not require a minimum of views to begin earning.
of course it is probably the least paying of all adverting programs you can join, but hey, gotta start somewhere right?

AFFILIATE MARKETING
Affiliate marketing is the main way I earn income on my blog. I do this through programs like Amazon and rewardStyle.
I have found Amazon to be a bit more difficult to earn through mainly because they offer some-what low commissions. But this was the first month I incorporated more amazon links into my blog posts.
As you can see in my proof of income photo, I sold $98.67 worth of revenue and earned $3.35 from that total.
AMAZON:
rewardStyle is my absolute favorite way to utilize affiliate marketing for my blog!
The main reason I love using rewardStyle is because it’s an all in one affiliate company. What I mean by that is, you can earn from multiple retailers all in one place. For example I can use Target links, Walmart links, Neiman Marcus, Nordstom, the list goes on and on and it’s all conveniently tracked and earned on the same platform.
I’d recommend everyone looking to start making money on their blog to apply!

What Did I Do To Help My Blog Grow In June 2021?
As I previously mentioned earlier June was so incredibly busy for me, I…
- bought a house
- moved across town
- had my 3rd baby
…all within the same week!
So as you can imagine juggling two toddlers, being 40 weeks pregnant, packing up an entire house, moving, attempting to unpack, being at the hospital for 3 days after having a baby, I just did not have the time to even open my laptop take a peak on my blog.
So...how did my blog keep functioning without me?!
One word, Tailwind.
Tailwind is a Pintrest pin scheduler (a.k.a the best thing ever for any blogger) that allows you to create a scheduled que of all your pins to post on autopilot.
If it wasn’t for Tailwind my blog would not have continued to gain traffic and views this month, due to my own neglect (because, mom life).
But life is busy and who has the time to spend all day every day on Pintrest anyway?! It literally saved my blog this month and cuts down the amount of time I spend a week on Pintrest. Click here for a free month of Tailwind.
Blog Goals + Plans
- Make my first $1,000 month by September I really want to hit my first 1k month by September. I definitely have some catching up to do from my ‘no new content’ incident from June. In fact, I’m already waaay behind on content creation.
- Update Old Posts I have posts from when I first started my blog that could use a little make over and be all around better. Better (and more) content added to them, more keywords and SEO skills I’ve learned added and maybe even adding photos to make them pretty.
- BUSTING OUT NEW CONTENT I need to start working my little hinney off and become a writing machine over the next few months especially if I want to hit that 1k goal! Not only for the blog but my Pintrest could use some fresh and fun pins.
I am more excited than ever to get back on the blog daily and keep working towards my goals.
Well, I can not wait to see how next month goes! I plan on reporting back to you guys on what I did and learned.
