5 Ways To Stay Motivated As A Mommy Blogger

We’ve all been there as bloggers. Discouraged and unmotivated. As Moms we have so much on plate it can be difficult to stay on track.

Trust me I know how hard it can be, I’m usually working on a blog post with one kid on my boob and the other climbing up my back. It can be so  very discouraging.

These are the main tips that keep me motivated as a mommy blogger.

1. Don't Compare

The biggest mistake we can make as bloggers is comparing ourselves to other bloggers. This is the easiest way to get discouraged.

Or perhaps you’ve come to a blog in the same niche as you and you think to yourself, “they’re already doing what I wanted, so there’s no point me doing it too”. That couldn’t be more wrong.

You are uniquely you. No matter what you decide to write no one else is going to say it exactly the way you would say it. Everyone is different and you have a unique perspective on your niche.

So no matter your niche or how many other bloggers are in the same niche, no one is you.

2. Make A Plan For The Week

Creating a plan before your week is the best way to stay productive. That way you are focused on working hard and not “what’s next” or “wheres so much to do where do I start”= overwhelmed.

A week worth of goals make it easy enough to get things done without feeling overwhelmed by looking at months worth of work you have to get through.

Crating realistic goals that are achievable right now will keep you continuing in the right direction.

The best way to get things accomplished and keep from procrastinating or becoming unmotivated is to have a set plan.

Being told you need to do this, this, and this, is a clear-cut, simple way to strategize the most out of your time.

3. Take A Much Needed Break

It is possible to be burnt out. And when we feel burnt out, we’re not going to create the beautiful superb work that we know we can produce.

This is the biggest sign that we just need to step away. Whether it’s for an hour a day or the whole weekend. Take the amount of time you know need to destress and practice some self-love so that you can relax, get inspired and let your creativity flow.

I guarantee that once you’ve relaxed for a bit, you’ll feel refreshed and ready to produce the gorgeous content you know you can create!

4. Focus On The GREAT

Feelings of discouragement stem from negativity. I know how it feels to be down *virtual hugs*.

But girl, when it comes to your business, we can not sit around at a low negative vibration.

Do things that make you happy! Get excited about what you have already accomplished! Look at you, you have a blog! Get excited about your future and where you’re headed.

How lucky are you that you get to be a Mom? And have the ability to create your dreams. The list is never ending. You are surrounded by miracles, take that in with a deep breath right now!

The list goes on and on. You need to make your mindset shift to focus on the great things surrounding you.

5. Take Action

Even if you are feeling too discouraged to write, do it anyway. Just keep going. Even if you don’t know what your next step is.

No matter what, create, plan or write something everyday. Even if it was only a little paragraph or a Pintrest graphic. Any action is a step in the right direction.

As long as you keep moving forward and you will keep growing.
